Matisse Blue Lamp
The award-winning Matisse Blue Floor Lamp explores the dynamic boundary between two-dimensional graphic art and volumetric 3D lighting. Born from an intensive exploration of organic forms, its striking biomorphic silhouette is designed to introduce a bold, sculptural language into contemporary environments. By balancing fluid contours with a rigid internal structure, the fixture serves as an artistic lighting statement that completely transforms the atmosphere of a room.

Inspired by the sheer power of Henri Matisse's iconic cut-outs and his 1913 masterpiece The Blue Window, the design embraces the challenge of complex biomorphic lines. It translates fluid graphic profiles into a functional light source, intentionally contrasting organic, leaf-like contours with clean modernist interiors. This artistic tension ensures the lamp acts not just as a light fixture, but as an interactive piece of functional art.
Engineered for modular versatility, Matisse Blue features a scalable attachment system built along a central, matte black steel spine. This functional core enables the fixture to "grow" in height and volumetric density, allowing the overlapping shapes to adapt to varying architectural scales and lighting scenarios. Its expanding silhouette establishes a poetic dialogue with open spaces, shifting daylight, and minimal structures.

The lamp's distinct material soul is the culmination of four years of dedicated studio research into high-density synthetic Tyvek. Through precise technical heat-forming, the durable shades beautifully mimic the delicate, tactile quality of hand-cut paper. The material offers high tensile strength and complete safety while perfectly diffusing integrated LED illumination into a soft, uniform, and entirely glare-free blue glow.
