Taita Lamp
Selected for the prestigious Design Now competition shortlist by Interior+Design magazine, the Taita Floor Lamp explores the dynamic boundary between two-dimensional graphic geometry and volumetric 3D lighting. Born from an intensive exploration of adaptive structural forms, its striking architectural silhouette introduces a bold, sculptural language into contemporary environments. By balancing fluid contours with a rigid internal framework, the fixture serves as an artistic statement that completely transforms the atmosphere of a room.

Inspired by the raw expressive power of modern avant-garde geometry, the design embraces the complex challenge of clean biomorphic lines. It translates bold graphic profiles into a functional light source, intentionally contrasting organic, rhythmic contours with minimalist, clean modernist interiors. This artistic tension ensures the lamp acts not just as a utilitarian light fixture, but as an interactive piece of functional art.
Engineered for modular versatility, the design features a scalable attachment system built along a central, minimal matte steel spine. This functional core enables the fixture to "grow" in height and volumetric density, allowing the shifting, expanding forms to adapt seamlessly to varying architectural scales and lighting scenarios. Its expanding silhouette establishes a poetic dialogue with open spaces, shifting daylight, and minimal structural lines.

The lamp's distinct material soul is the culmination of dedicated studio research into high-density synthetic Tyvek. Through precise technical folding patterns, the durable shade masterfully mimics the delicate, tactile quality of hand-cut paper. The specialized material offers high tensile strength and complete safety while perfectly diffusing integrated LED illumination into a soft, uniform, and entirely glare-free ambient glow.
